THE COLLECTION

HAUS SCHLESIEN has assembled a large collection of Silesian cultural assets over the decades of its existence. The collection contains artefacts and documents that bear reference to the Silesian landscape, history, and culture as well as to important public figures. This collection serves to promote the study and presentation of the many and varied aspects of Silesia. Accordingly, it comprises items from the fields of art and handicrafts, business and trade, as well as daily life.

The collection forms the basis of the exhibitions devised by the DIZ. The exhibits are loaned to other museums or exhibition organizers and available for research work.
